Images from research investigating neuronal migration during brain development, focusing on the Lis1, Reelin, Dab1, and DCX genetic pathways and the cytoskeletal basis of neuronal migration.  Time-lapse images show neuronal and growth cone movement.  Still images show neurons and COS cells fluorescently expressing transfected neuronal proteins and/or stained with probes for microtubules, golgi, vesicles, nuclei and cytoskeletal proteins.  The images are presented for educational purposes to stimulate interest in neuroscience research.
